Real Bride Stories - Victoria

6th April, 2022

Like so many of our lovely brides, Victoria had to postpone her wedding twice due to the pandemic. Third time lucky, and with some tweaks following the birth of her daughter, Victoria looked absolutely stunning in her Theia dress. Victoria chose to add an overskirt – a clever way to create two different looks with the same dress. Many of Victoria’s guests couldn’t believe she hadn’t got changed into a new dress in the evening! Here is her story:

Choosing the 'One'

Soon after getting engaged in May 2019, I started to look at wedding dresses. I chose Rachel Ash as I really liked the Pronovias collection. I tried on about seven Pronovias dresses and one Theia dress.

To my surprise, the Theia dress was the ONE, I did't expect that!

I could not believe my luck that we had found it on my first wedding dress viewing. I did, however, go to a few other shops afterwards to make sure that this was the one, of course it was and nothing else compared for me.

Then Covid hit...all plans changed!

The girls at Rachel Ash were very helpful and understanding given the impact of Covid on their services. My wedding got postponed and in the meantime, we decided to start a family! The second date for the wedding would have been around 6 weeks after my daughter was due and I was worried that my perfect dress would no longer fit me.

The girls at Rachel Ash were fab! We tried on lots of sale dresses as a backup but then my sister came up with the idea of an overskirt to go with my dream dress. I tried on a sample in the boutique which had beautiful feather detailing, it was perfect and I didn't have to change my dream dress after all.

The fittings

My wedding got rearranged for a third time! Again, the team at Rachel Ash were very accommodating to the timings and managed to squeeze in my dress fittings in a shorter time frame.

As I approached my wedding date, I was able to comfortably fit into my wedding dress so I didn't need to go with the overskirt however, I decided to keep the overskirt as it was simply too spectacular not to wear it.

I would highly recommend Rachel Ash to any bride to be! - Victoria
